Mochi Waffles

Here is what you will need!


1 cup of sweet rice flour
1/4 cup of white sugar
1 cup of water
ice cream
whipped cream
chocolate syrup


Combine sweet rice flour, sugar and water in a mixing bowl. Cover and microwave for 3 1/2 minutes. Stir to make sure everything is well combined. Cover and microwave for another 30 seconds.   1. People seem really upset at this being sacrilegious to Japanese Mochi. First of all it is very likely that someone at Buzzfeed is Japanese and proposed this as an idea of how to treat Mochi and turn it into a different dish. Secondly, Japan, as well as many other countries and cultures have taken certain elements of others and put their own style on it. Most Hamburgers across the world don't commonly use squid ink or put fried eggs on them for example, but ever since Japan introduced the idea many people have started to love it. Relax, food is supposed to be fun, experimental, and shared. If it wasn't, no one would be allowed to have pasta or pizza.
