  1. For Betty’s Kitchen,

How beautiful! Your presentations have taught me again, even though I thought I knew how to cook good things up. Lots of folks on YouTube have made me better like this too.

In this one, you have prepared a layered Spaghetti casserole. I had to write down what you did, and in this, I was translating it to a one pot dish, as I don’t have a automatic dishwasher. I think I can pull it off, but it won’t have the crusty parts, unless I brown the bottom of the pot a bit. But, what I learned is that you can cook (lean) ground beef in with a mirepoix and tomatoes! This is the key I was looking for with spaghetti. I’ll cook the pasta first, reserve with some starched water, and start cooking in the same pot. I suppose I could also transfer the pot to the stove once all is in place for a little while to get the browning and a crust on it (with breadcrumbs). And, I have to add too, thanks for showing me how to tone down a red sauce with something like Cream of Mushroom soup.

And too, I want to add, to watch out with glass cookware. I didn’t know this before, cooking with them so long, but they can break, in the oven even. This was not good to read, as glass doesn’t impart metal to it. I’ll still use glassware though, just hoping all goes well at lower temps and gentle handling and cleanings.

I do want to thank you all so much for what you do for us, and I wish the best for you all. As some have probably added, it would be really good if the FoodChannel notices you all.

  2. I would have never thought to put the mushroom soup, but the mat mixture you made,i already make it that way except i never used the olives, but will try that,i love black olives, this is a good one for church, thank you

  3. Hi Betty! Just found your channel and I am loving the sound of your recipies. Simple everyday ingredients that we all have in our cupboards. This is how real people cook…no fuss no muss but SO tasty. Everything in moderation and any family would be fine eating your delicious food. I'm looking forward to trying more of your tasty dishes. Thanks for taking the time to share.

  4. Betty u are so sweet and explain things so well.  Thank u for all u are doing and helping any single parent (mom or dad) out there that is sick of fast food.   Can I make a request…Can u to do a video on the best damn hash browns in town!  Mine always come out greasy and flat and I want lite fluffy and flavorful.  Does the dinner bell chef have a good recipe?  Thanks again girl

  5. I was always confused as to what a casserole is, since it isn't used in cooking terms over here. But this one looks like a variation of lasagna with just some different ingredients. Looks great. Is this based off lasagnas?
